Simeti is a health educator with Communities for Alcohol 和 Drug-Free Youth (CADY), a regional nonprofit devoted to preventing 和 reducing youth substance misuse. From CADY’s base in 普利茅斯 alongside the PSU campus, he will be going into area middle 和 high schools, 主要在Campton, Holderness, 普利茅斯 和Rumney.

Simeti’s involvement in the field began in high school when he had the opportunity to assist 公共卫生 Nutritionist Michelle Kleinman of the Rockl和 County (NY) Department of Health. “我主动帮助她做了很多事情, including bringing access to care to disadvantaged communities,”他解释说.

Professor Barbara McCahan was Simeti’s academic advisor 和 instructor in his first years at PSU. “I was always impressed with his passion 和 compassion for the well-being of others,” she says. “He was always enthusiastically engaged in program development for Healthy PSU 和 was a spokesperson to the Cabinet for the proposal to become a smoke-free campus. He is a great example of a successful public health student.”

“My professors at 普利茅斯 State have always been people I aspired to be like,”Simeti说, who connects his college experience with those of today’s students.
